Wes Piatt

Wes Piatt, founder and owner of Sixteen Penny Construction, is a native to Charlotte, and has over 20 years in the construction industry. Wes’ passion for building started at a young age as he visited job sites with his father and learned to appreciate the fine details of building. He has a passion for design, inventive construction, and building relationships and homes that families will treasure and enjoy for years.

He is a licensed General Contractor in both North and South Carolina. Wes is a member of the Remodelers Council in Charlotte and has received multiple awards for his excellence in building from this group: 2011 Gold Award Whole House, 2008 Silver Award Whole House, 2008 Silver Award Kitchen. Wes has been actively involved in Charlotte’s Executive Association of Charlotte (EAC) since 2012 is serving as Vice President at EAC 2015-2016. He was chosen as a participant in the Charlotte Leadership Forum (2010-2012).

Chris Beaubien

Chris discovered his passion for construction in high school when he was given the opportunity to compete in ‘VICA’ team build competitions, his team ranking #2 in the state. He has been involved in the industry ever since and also became a Licensed Builder in Michigan in 2004. Chris has owned and operated a successful remodel business for over 9 years in the northwest before relocating to Matthews, NC and joining the Sixteen Penny team. Chris believes in making the experience of creating a new home as enjoyable and rewarding as possible for the homeowner.

 

Chris Roberts

Chris joined the Sixteen Penny Team in 2021. He is a California native and has dedicated much of his adult life to a life of service. He is a Combat Veteran with the United States Marine Corps where he served in Ramadi, Iraq. Following his military service, he became a professional Firefighter with the City of Santa Rosa where he worked for nearly 8 years before relocating his family to Mint Hill, NC. Chris was introduced to construction early in his life and his love for construction has continued since. After his relocation to North Carolina, he enjoyed success as a builder in the greater Charlotte area before joining Sixteen Penny. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History as well as a minor in Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University. He loves spending time with his wife, McKenna and his two children, Adilynn and Emmitt.
